Aaron Emmel is the author of Taking Action in a Changing World, a book on promoting positive social change. He works in global health strategy and policy and has a background in human rights, refugee resettlement, and international security.

Aaron co-founded and served as president of the All That’s Heavy online music store and the MeteorCity record label before selling both enterprises with his partner in 2001 and 2007, respectively. He has co-produced or co-compiled multiple albums.

He has written fiction and articles for dozens of magazines and newspapers and has edited books, websites and magazines. His next projects include a history of human rights and a graphic novel set in nineteenth century Persia.
