I was excited to learn today that my story “Small Kindnesses” will be published in the next issue of Riding Light.  I wrote Small Kindnesses right after “A Drive in March,” and like that story it focuses on the power and promise of relationships.  Although I normally write science fiction, I often enjoy focusing on the ways we can find moments of transcendence in everyday life.
