Google’s new algorithm update, which gives a preference to original content in search results, is a blow to content farms and a big win for writers — and readers.

Here’s one of my articles, Winning on the Internet: How to Start a Business with No Experience, on a website called Sales Success Magazine, which I’ve never heard of before.  Here it is again, re-posted in its entirety on a website called Work from Home Business (towards the end of the page).  I’m not writing articles like that any more — but if keeping up in the rankings means that profitable websites will need to start hiring new writers to create articles that previously they might have just recycled from me or someone else, more writers will get work and readers will get new, more relevant content.
