I just sold my short story “The Life and Times of Doug” to Whortleberry Press for a forthcoming anthology called Strange Changes.  The Life and Times of Doug asks the important question of what would happen if all of Earth’s women got fed up and left.  I wrote it back in New Mexico while working on Gates of Metacythe, a series about civilizational collapse.  A couple of stories in I realized that to preserve my mental health I’d need to take a break with something more lighthearted.  Much the same reason, coincidentally, that led Robert Asprin to first start Myth Adventures.
