Last night I watched the debut of new illusions from Krendl‘s “The Magic of One” set. My wife and I are big fans of illusions, and in fact one of my forthcoming stories (set to appear in Gargoyle Magazine in 2019) centers on a down-on-his-luck magician.

The show kicked off with a video that features a quote from Will Smith’s character in After Earth: “Fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts you create. Do not misunderstand me. Danger is very real. But fear is a choice.”

My daughter, who is three, jumped up at the word “danger.”

“Danger?” she asked. “Where is it? Can I see?”

It was a very entertaining show.
